It is the customer’s responsibility to provide and verify the correct shipping address. Zion's Farm is not responsible for damage to the products if a recipient is not available to accept the shipment at time of delivery. We ship without a required signature to ensure your product arrives in a timely manner. The billing customer is responsible for ensuring that a recipient will be available for delivery. To ensure that your order arrives in perfect condition, our meat is shipped in an insulated foam cooler with dry ice. We aim for all meat to arrive frozen, but please be aware that thawing can occur due to shipping delays, weather, or small orders that don’t fill a box. All Zion's Farm meat should arrive frozen or at refrigerator temperature (below 40 degrees F measured with a food thermometer). Place your meat into the freezer immediately upon receiving and inspecting your package. If your meat doesn’t feel cool to the touch upon arrival, please email zionsfarmofvirginia@gmail.com within 24 hours of receiving your package. A description of the damage and a photo(s) of the order in the state it was received is also helpful. If you feel your order is compromised in any way, please notify us within 24 hours and do not consume or taste suspect food. It is very important to us that you are satisfied with your purchase, and we will work relentlessly to correct your order.

Dry Ice Caution

Our meat is shipped with dry ice in order help our meat to stay cool. It is normal for the dry ice to dissipate during shipping. If there’s any dry ice remaining in your package, please allow it to dissipate on its own or use protective gloves when handling. Always avoid contact with bare skin, and reference the Dry Ice Caution Information card in your package for proper handling and disposal. In every shipment, there is enough dry ice added to keep your order frozen for up to 48 hours. Packages arriving within this window are predicted to arrive frozen.

We recommend ordering a minimum of 10 pounds of meat to keep all cuts frozen in transit.

When do you ship your meat?

Currently, we ship our meat every Tuesday to ensure delivery by the end of the week (exceptions for weather and holidays). Orders placed after 11:59PM EST on Monday will ship the following Tuesday. Once your order is placed you will receive an email with an invoice, tracking number, and expected date of delivery. All products will be shipped via UPS. If you believe your order has shipped and you have not received an email, please check your spam folder or contact us at zionsfarmofvirginia@gmail.com for an update on your order status.

Can I make changes to my order if it already shipped?

We can make changes to your order at any time prior to shipping via email. However if your order has already shipped, we are not able to change your order and it cannot be cancelled since it is perishable.

If a shipping address is altered after an order has shipped, there is often an extra business day added to delivery. Since our meat is perishable with enough Dry Ice to keep the package frozen for 48 hours, we cannot guarantee the condition of the order if the address is entered incorrectly, altered during delivery, or if you are unable to accept your package on the guaranteed delivery date.

Do I need to be home to accept my package?

Our boxes don’t require a signature, but we suggest someone is available to receive your package when it is delivered to prevent any thawing. We recommend having the order delivered to your home address to avoid any shipping issues due to limited business hours or holiday closures. Additionally, we cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes, so all shipments MUST include a valid street address.

Will my order arrive frozen?

Zion's Farm meat is flash frozen, vacuum sealed, and labeled at a USDA processing facility. Our meat is shipped in an insulated foam cooler and packed with dry ice, and should arrive frozen or partially frozen (below 40 degrees F measured with a food thermometer). The amount of Dry Ice is calculated based on your delivery time and geographic location. The dry ice may be completely evaporated upon arrival, but your meat should still be frozen or cold to the touch and at a safe temperature for freezing. All meat should be placed in the freezer immediately upon arrival.

In the event of a carrier delay or damage to the shipping box that results in your beef arriving warm (above 40 degrees F as measured with a food thermometer) or you feel your order is compromised or unsafe in any way – notify us within 24 hours by emailing zionsfarmofvirginia@gmail.com. Do not consume or taste suspect food.

What if I am not satisfied with my order?

If you are not satisfied with an item you’ve received, or if you’ve experience any issues with packaging, please email zionsfarmofvirginia@gmail.com with a description of the issue and a photo(s) of the package. We will work tirelessly to resolve your order. This may include replacement of the product in question, credit toward your next order, or a partial/full refund. Please see our Refund Policy for more information.

Dry Ice Safe Handling Tips:

  • Dispose of remaining dry ice by letting it dissipate in a well-ventilated area where it can’t be accessed by children or pets.

  • Do not dispose of dry ice in a sink or toilet as the temperature difference can destroy the structure.

  • Do not leave dry ice on counter tops as the extreme cold will cause damage to the surface.

  • Do not dispose of dry ice in the garbage.
